The week after our wedding we'll be heading back to one of our favorite places. Often called the most complete temperate ecosystem in the world, Yellowstone National Park has been a longtime favorite of generations of Barratts. Lou and Bethany have spent many happy hours there with the wild things, and Bethany was hugely fortunate to do field work there for the National Park Service's Wolf Project this spring. B and L have been promised bird surveys and predation work (read: necropsies) for the NPS while they're out there as a honeymoon "treat"! We're staying in the only place available in August in the park with a mere two months' notice: a VERY rustic cabin through Air BnB (the major decorative motif appears to be "Early Twentieth Century Plywood." Sadly, ANY flight to remoter areas of the country costs a pretty penny - so fortunately we're good at economizing elsewhere!
