Eric and Leslie attended High School together for one year without ever speaking to each other once. It was a few years later that Eric stumbled upon Leslie's Myspace page and "it was on from then" says Eric. He was attracted to her cynical sense of humor and shared her obsessive love of music. The two began chatting and quickly realized they shared the same passion for art, music, and literature. Sparks flew instantly!
Even though they had each already fallen for each other, the two simply resolved to remain as friends. Despite the fact that they were not ready for a committed relationship, Eric never stopped whole heartedly caring or trying to nurture their relationship. He came over with notebooks filled with poems he had written and read them aloud, and often left her with new music to hear, and sore cheeks from laughing with him for hours.
Finally (three years later) the two began dating! They attended concerts, music festivals, plays, and went camping, hiking, biking, and canoeing together. They dated for a year and moved in together. Then Eric became a dedicated and loving parent to Leslie's two children, Avian & Isaac. They spent the next almost five years building a beautiful life together. They purchased a cozy and colorful home together on Madison's Northside where they spend their time raising the boys, gardening, and trying to make time to enjoy art and nature in their many forms! |
We are proudly hosting our Wedding Ceremony & Reception at MMoCA (Madison Museum of Contemporary Art) located on 227 State Street, in the heart of the vibrant and architecturally rich downtown Madison, WI
After being drawn to the Museum initially out of their shared love of art, Eric and Leslie chose MMoCA for their big day because they support MMoCA's mission as a non-profit, independent organization that esteems themselves for the existence of exhibiting, collecting, preserving, & interpreting modern and contemporary art. |
