Daniel and I met on Halloween night in 2009. He was the gingerbread man, and I was the St. Pauli Beer Girl. He had big muscles and gorgeous blue eyes. I was a fun girl in a short dress. Daniel began a conversation with me, and I liked him from those very first moments...our first date was three days later, and the rest is history. We have loved each others company from the day we met and have had so much fun with each other in our time together. Our memories are filled with amazing vacations, laughter, smiles, and family. Our first big step together was getting our dog, Slinky. We later moved in together and eventually got him a brother, Tux.

In 2011,my life changed completely, when my father almost died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident. I left on a plane in the wee hours of the morning to find my dad fighting for his life in an ICU. Dan flew in a day later and tended to both mine and my families every need. He never asked any questions and did everything and anything we needed. He ran errands, picked people up, sat with my dad, took care of my mother, and held my hand through it all. In the many months that followed, my Dad remained in the hospital for almost five months. In those same five months, my Godfather tragically passed away, as did my Grandmother. In my heartache and sadness, Dan never once wasn't there for me, and never once did he not drop everything to wipe my tears. As the days went on, he continued to wipe my tears. He never left my side and was there for me and my family through every moment of that horrific year. On the day my Grandmother passed away, I couldn't stop crying. It was the end of a long road for me. I had been so strong for my mom when my Dad got hurt, and so brave for my Aunt at my Uncle's funeral, as I gave the euology, I didn't have any more stength to call upon. Dan took me in his arms and let me cry, he held me and let me cry until I couldn't. It was the first time through all the painful moments that I was able to just cry. It was in those moments that I knew with utmost certainty that I wanted to marry him. It was in those moments that I realized he was the person who gave me all that strength, and he was the person who would make me complete. The months to follow were hard as my heartache began to heal, but Dan never let me down, and helped me through each day.

They say that after a hurricane, comes a rainbow. When things calmed down, Dan had planned a trip to Hawaii for us in May of that horrible year. He knew I had always wanted to go and told me it was something for me to look forward to, as to cheer me up. We stayed for two amazing weeks and on the first day that we were there, he took me on a walk along the beach to watch the sun rise. While on that walk, he proposed to me. It was the single most amazing moment of my life. As I looked up in the sky, on that beautiful beach in Maui, there was a small rainbow...I am sure it was my Grandmother giving me a sign that she was there with us. We then spent the remaining days in Hawaii celebrating our engagement and looking forward to a lifetime together.

Upon our return, our families celebrated and we have been blessed to have them join in our happiness as we look forward to our big day in June!

Our ceremony will be romantic and elegant, a real life fairytale wedding. I cannot wait to take those first steps down the aisle in my wedding dress to become Mrs. Daniel Quering! Our ceremony will be held at St. Stanislaus Church in Pittsburgh's Strip District neighborhood. It is a beautiful old church with a gorgeous backdrop. This will be an event to remember and we can't wait to share it with all of you!

Our receotion will be held at the exquisite old train station, The Pennsylvanian, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is breathtaking location, that is sure to be memorble for both our guests and ourselves. We are having an elegant reception and have taken the time to add lots of personal details that we hope you enjoy. We look forward to celebrating the beginning of our lives together with all of you.

Dan and I will be taking an amazing cruise through Europe and we will then stay an extra four days in Rome. Our cruise will take us to other parts of Italy, through the Greek Isles and Athens, and Croatia. We cannot wait to exprience everything that each of these countries has to offer and spend our first days as husband and wife in paradise. After the cruise ends, we will spend four days exploring all that Rome has to offer. We plan on visiting St. Peter's Basilica, St. Mark's square, and exploring the streets of this amazing ancient city. We will be taking lots of pictures to keep the memories of this amazing trip fresh in our minds and hope to share those with you upon our return.

Daniel and I feel so very blessed to have such amazing family and friends to experience all of this with. We hope that you are able to be with us on our wedding day and thank you for being a part of our lives and sharing in our love.
