Welcome

Natalie and Bobby met in Southern Oregon, when they were both juniors at Ashland High School. Bobby was the mysterious "new kid," Natalie knew just about everyone. Natalie thought Bobby was cute, just not her type. Ironically, her two best friends, Elisa and Lisa, thought Bobby was so cute, they took him to lunch on his very first day. Bobby always thought Natalie was beautiful, just "out of his league." Little did he know...

After their 2002 graduation, Bobby left for Santa Cruz, where he lived with friends and lived to surf. Natalie spent two years studying alongside her professor-dad at Georgetown University, before transferring to the University of Oregon to pursue a degree in Journalism and Broadcasting.

In 2007, just when Natalie decided now was the time for work NOT play... Bobby and Natalie met again. Natalie had moved back home to Southern Oregon, where she'd gotten a reporter job at a local television news station. Bobby was perfecting his bartending skills at a local Italian restaurant. They ran into eachother at a friends barbecue, and it was, love at SECOND sight. For the next four years the couple would become best friends, take wonderful trips together, and bond with eachothers families.

In June 2010, when the couple was preparing to move to Omaha, Nebraska for the bride-to-be's next reporting job, Bobby and Natalie decided, "might as well make it official." Nothing, after all, could be as scary as moving to the midwest! The couple also yearned for something to look forward to, something that would bring both families together on Bobby's mom's beautiful land in Talent, Oregon, a big bash to celebrate their union.

The wedding is on August 20, 2011 at Bobby's mom's ranch. It is a gorgeous four acres nestled in the hills of Talent, Oregon. The wedding will be an evening affair, fairly casual, with a garden feel. At 5:45 guests are welcome for cocktails, but more importantly, that will be when the Rabbi, David Zaslow, and his wife, Debbie, will lead the guests in some traditional, Jewish fun. The men and women will split up in to two groups, for drinks, songs, and stories. The point is to relax the bride and groom before the ceremony, and focus on what's really important, as opposed to catering and pictures. It's all optional.

The ceremony starts at 7pm, and will last about 45 minutes. After that we'll be having a wonderful, Italian dinner buffet, catered by Bobby's dear friend and her delicious restaurant, Red Rock Italian Eatery. Some beer, wine, and champagne will be on the house. And guests can purchase drinks from a full bar. The reception will have lots of music and dancing- and will go loosely to midnight. Camping on Lisa's land, as well as rides will be available.

If you're not from the area, there are so many fun things to do! Crater Lake, the United States' deepest lake, is only about an hour and a half away. It's bright blue, and absolutely stunning. The world-renonwned Shakespeare Festival is in Ashland, which always offers a handful of plays, from Shakespeare to modern. Ashland also has great restaurants and shops. Southern Oregon can be hot in the summer, so bring your sunscreen.

Also, hotels tend to book up fast, especially in Ashland, so make your reservations, ASAP.

Since we're living far from home, we didn't want gifts that we'd eventually need to move. We've lived together for almost three years, and have enough STUFF. What we don't have is the means to celebrate our marriage with a honeymoon. Our dream is to spend ten days in Costa Rica laying in the sun, swimming in the ocean, soaking up local culture, and exploring all the country has to offer. It's a great place to surf, which for Bobby is super exciting. There are volcanos and rainforests and great, local food. Yum. Thank you for checking out our registery, and helping make this dream a reality!

Thank you all for being a part of our lives and this special chapter. In some way or another, each and everyone of you has touched us and helped make us who we are today. We feel so blessed to know you, and are honored that you are invovled in our wedding. Friends and family are what it's all about!
