2:00 @ Metcalf Bottoms Pavilion in the GSMNP. Casual to very casual dress as we want to encourage people to explore the area and check out the nearby trails and dont want people to feel like they have to go back and forth to change. If you get a little dirty, so be it!

Traffic is heavy this time of year so please give yourself ample time to get to the park and to find parking should it be busy. If we get there and parking is unavailable, we will come up with a car shuttle option of some sort, and we will make sure to let everyone know.

 Directions

Metcalf Bottoms Pavilion (where the wedding will take place) is located in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There are routes into the park through either Townsend or Gatlinburg and there is a back entrance off of Wears Valley Road (321) that provides the easiest access to Metcalf Bottoms. Wears Valley Road is exactly one mile from Big Daddy's Pizzeria. Here are directions to the pavilion (all roads are paved so if you are on a trail or path type road, turn around!)...

From the South: This means you're already on foot in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and either hiking or lost in the woods. Good luck - you are on your own! We hope you have a compass and some good hiking boots. Please call us when you get back to civilization!!!

From the North: Head southwest out of Pigeon Forge going towards Townsend on Wears Valley Road (321), drive approximately 9 miles until you come to Lyon Springs Lane (some maps say Lyon others say Line & some say lane while others say road but its all the same street) and turn left. Continue on Lyon Springs Lane for a 2-3 miles (the road changes names to Wears Cove Gap Road at some point) and this road will bring you directly into the Metcalf bottoms area of the GSMNP. Once in the park follow the road a short way and you will cross over a stream on a small wooden bridge. Take the first right immediately after the bridge (it looks like an access road - if you pass the park directory sign and bathrooms on your left or come to Little River Rd (73) then you have gone too far). Continue on the little access road (the stream will be on your right side) a short distance until you see the picnic pavilion (on your left) and you should be able to find parking there. If no parking is available then just drive a little further up and you will see more spaces throughout the park.

From the East: Pavilion is 15 miles west of Gatlinburg, TN on Little River Road. Take Newfound Gap Road (441) south from Gatlinburg and turn west on Little River Road (73) at the Sugarlands Visitors Center. Go 10 miles and turn right at picnic area sign. You will see the park directory sign and bathrooms on your right almost immediately and the access road to Metcalf Bottoms Picnic pavilion will be on your left - turn left here (there is no sign, but it is the only road before the just before the bridge and stream - if you cross over the bridge, you have gone too far). Continue on the little access road (the stream will be on your right side) a short distance until you see the picnic pavilion (on your left) and you should be able to find parking there. If no parking is available then just drive a little further up and you will see more spaces throughout the park.

From the West: Take 73 to Wears Valley Rd (321) heading away from townsend and toward pigeon forge. Drive approximately 6 miles and turn right onto Lyon Springs Lane (some maps say Lyon others say Line & some say lane while others say road but its all the same street ). Continue on Lyon Springs Lane for a couple miles (the road changes names to Wears Cove Gap Road at some point) and this road will bring you directly into the Metcalf bottoms area of the GSMNP. If no parking is available then just drive a little further up and you will see more spaces throughout the park.

or

take State Hwy 73 into the park and follow Little Greenbrier Rd (also called Little River Rd.) about 10 miles and turn left at picnic area sign.
